We’re no strangers to the dairy industry. For generations, we’ve been offering Australian families delicious, natural products handled with true care created by farmers and dairy specialists with generations of expertise. It’s safe to say that every Devondale purchase comes with the reassurance of trust and quality.
Dairy is with you from childhood to adulthood. A healthy breakfast on the run to the quiet moments of indulgence; life ebbs and flows with natural vitality. No matter what the occasion, we are there delivering trusted, quality dairy as nature intended.
On Devondale farms we care about the health and happiness of our cows. Our cows graze freely in natural pastures, rich in farm grown forages that form the basis of their healthy diets.
From the time milk is collected from the farm to the moment it reaches the shelves, it is continually quality tested to ensure purity. At every milk collection we check and test the temperature, somatic cell count, fat and protein. When the milk enters our production and processing plants it undergoes at least 10 product quality tests. Even after production, we test, log and track the quality of the final product.
To ensure we deliver on our quality assurance we adhere to the FSANZ (Australian Food Standards Australia & New Zealand) requirements and test all fresh milk test for antibiotics. If any milk tests positive, it’s rejected before it enters our production and processing plants, to make sure you only get the best.
Dairy naturally contains essential nutrients to give you energy for each day. At Devondale, we’re committed to delivering a range of natural, great tasting everyday dairy products – milk, cheese, butter and spreads.
Good news: research shows that including dairy as part of your balanced diet is not linked to weight gain, despite popular belief. That means if you’re on a calorie-controlled diet, it’s fine to keep three serves of dairy in it.
It’s no secret that milk is a great source of calcium, but you might not have realised it’s also packed with 10 essential nutrients. Others include vitamin A, vitamin B12, iodine, riboflavin, potassium, magnesium, zinc, phosphorus, carbohydrate and high quality protein. Drink up!
There are plenty of reasons to incorporate butter in a healthy, balanced diet. Butter has a way of enhancing the flavour of other ingredients like no other. Try adding a small amount to wholegrain bread or vegetables.
